Ascent is made from materials that were consciously chosen. Wood from certified forestry, treated with a hard wax oil finish. Metal that has been recycled and reformed, given a second life. The origins of Ascent are as considered as its design.
Design approach
Landscapes shifting over time
The design began with a landscape. The shifting ridgelines of landscapes, the way a valley rises gradually, then falls, are translated into double-bent plywood that moves with the same logic. A process that allows wood to curve simultaneously across two axes, following compound surfaces the way a hillside follows terrain.

Placed across transit hubs, airports, healthcare environments, retail, education, and workplace settings. Ascent adapts its presence to each spatial logic.
